AI agent: describe a video, get an MP4
Sequel Box now works with AI agents over MCP. Tell the agent what you want and it creates and exports the video.
The idea
Making a video usually means a lot of small steps: create a project, add text and clips, set up animation, pick sounds, export. Now an AI agent can do that for you. Describe the video you want, and the agent builds it in Sequel Box and exports the MP4.
How to connect
The feature uses MCP, the Model Context Protocol that lets AI apps use tools. It works with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP-compatible agents, and it needs the Sequel Box desktop app for Windows.
- Open Connect AI agent…In the desktop app, open the menu (logo, top-left) and choose it.
- Turn on AI agent accessIt is off by default.
- Add Sequel Box to your AI appClaude Desktop has a one-click button. For Claude Code and Cursor, copy the command or settings shown.
- Restart the AI app and askFor example: “Create a 1080×1920 video with the title ‘Summer Sale’ in big yellow text, add a whoosh sound at 0 seconds, and export it.”
Private, and you stay in control
Everything runs on your computer through a local, token-protected connection. Every edit the agent makes is a normal undo step, so Ctrl+Z works, and you can open the project afterwards to change anything by hand.
