Timeline with layers

Stack video, images, text and audio on separate tracks. Trim, split and move clips, group layers, and undo any step with Ctrl+Z.

Keyframes, click by click

Choose a spacing, then keep clicking a property’s keyframe button. Each click adds a keyframe one step after the last, so you never drag the playhead. Adjust them afterwards, or press J and K to jump between them.

Add a camera for moves that affect the whole scene. Select a diamond and press Delete to remove it, or select the camera bar to remove the whole camera.

3D presets and animations

Cube turns, doors, fly-ins and loops for single clips and for several clips at once. The library also has entrance, exit, emphasis, poster and scene animations, with search and live previews.

Sound library, auto-applied

72 built-in sounds in 9 categories: whooshes, UI sounds, gears, pops, clicks, data, risers, money and camera shutters. Turn on Auto-apply by name and a layer called “whoosh” gets a whoosh at its start. Add your own sound folder too.

Import almost anything

Video, images, audio, PDF pages and 3D models. If your browser can’t play a video file, Sequel Box converts it in the page and imports the result.

Design tools and Figma paste

Copy layers in Figma and paste them straight into the editor. Draw with the pen tool, add shapes and text with your choice of fonts, crop, group layers, use clipping masks and blend modes.

3D models, tracking and green screen

Drop in GLB or GLTF models and turn them in space, with front, side, top and three-quarter views. Track an object in your video and have the camera follow it. Remove a green or blue screen.

Projects, export and social sizes

Save .sbox projects that open with a double-click on Windows. Export an MP4 at 24, 30 or 60 fps, at full, 75% or 50% resolution, or save any frame as a PNG.

Start from a canvas for Instagram, TikTok, Reels, Shorts, YouTube, Pinterest or X, and turn on the safe-zone overlay so captions never hide under the app’s buttons.

Desktop and browser

Install the Windows app, run the portable file, or open the editor in Chrome, Edge or Safari. Switch between light and dark themes.

AI agent (MCP)

In the Windows desktop app, choose Connect AI agent… and add Sequel Box to Claude, Cursor or any MCP-compatible app. Then tell the agent what to make. It builds the project and exports the finished MP4, and you can open the project afterwards to adjust anything by hand. Everything stays on your computer.
